Plant Loveland

Brittany and I (Caleb) met in the summer of 2012 while serving at a Christian camp in northern Minnesota. Since the very beginning, we've had a passion to serve in ministry together. In 2014, we got married and have been actively involved in church ministry ever since! In the midst of our various ministry callings, God grew our family by blessing us with Obadiah (2021) and Lydia (2023). Through all of our years as a family, we have learned to trust God one step at a time.

In 2022, God began stirring a new passion in our hearts. As we looked around at our generation, we noticed a catastrophe unfolding before our eyes. Millions of people who once were actively involved in church have now left the faith altogether. Having been raised in the church, served in the church, and seen the beauty of what the body of Christ can be, this reality of dechurching put a big burden on our hearts.

In considering how we could minister to those who have left the church, God drew our attention to church planting. While many people won't set foot in a long established church, there is a greater openness and opportunity for a new church to reach a generation that is increasingly leaving the faith.

While we were recognizing our call toward church planting, God paved the way for us to connect with the Rocky Mountain District of the EFCA and Faith Church in Fort Collins. This partnership has helped us to move from Minnesota to Northern Colorado to prepare for planting a church.

 

Upon arriving in Colorado, it became clear that God was guiding us to plant a church in the community of Loveland, just south of Fort Collins. We are excited about the vision that God has given us for this church and we are trusting that He will continue to guide our steps as we prepare for the work ahead.
